What is Kinesiology?
Modern-day life is extremely stressful and we are bombarded with toxins from the environment. The food we eat has also lost a lot of its nutritional value (you can read more about this, here). This makes it very difficult to give our bodies what they require to thrive and heal.
Systematic Kinesiology is the science of muscle testing to determine imbalances in the body. Every disease starts with an imbalance. If left long enough an accumulation of imbalances will turn into symptoms, your body’s way of telling you something is wrong. Often we take painkillers, which simply mask the symptoms, instead of healing the root cause. It is important to remember that symptoms are your friend giving you a signal that something is wrong, not your enemy.
What makes Kinesiology different?
Kinesiology differs from other modalities thanks to the tangible effects of muscle testing. Muscle testing is where the Kinesiologist applies gentle pressure against muscles to determine if the muscles are strong (and healthy) or weak (and need restoring to balance). As muscles are tested you will be able to feel the changes. When the muscle is strong, it will effortlessly lock into place, whereas when weak it will feel spongy and wobbly.
If the muscle tests show as weak, fixes will be completed to restore the body back to balance. When the muscles are retested, you will be able to clearly feel the difference, as they will feel stronger.
This provides confidence and trust that the body is responding to Kinesiology. Want to know more? Explore our interesting article on ‘Systematic Kinesiology deep dive: what it is & how it works’
What can I expect from a session?
A standard session will involve:
Supportive communication to understand the client's needs.
Nutritional testing on any muscles, organs and systems that are relevant.
Lymphatic massage to release all stagnant lymphatic tissue which plays a very important role in keeping the body healthy.
Meridian channels to balance the energy throughout the body.
Sessions are relaxing. Although, some lymphatic tissue massages can be uncomfortable for a short time. This is due to the area being heavily congested causing the massage to become sore. Communication is always maintained with the client to make sure any massage is well within the client’s pain threshold.
I am based in Falmouth, Cornwall but spend time in North London on a monthly basis so am able to offer Systematic Kinesiology services in both areas.
