About Me…

Darren and family on Perranporth beach in Cornwall

Disclaimer: all thoughts and opinions are my own and I completely understand and respect that everyone has different opinions on the mentioned topics.

Every single person you speak to knows someone who has a physical ailment or is experiencing one themselves. It is unfathomable the number of people who have issues nowadays (whether digestive, muscular, heartburn or something else). We all just take a painkiller, complain to our spouse/friends, and get on with our daily lives. It does not have to be like this. When we experience a symptom, it is our body’s way of communicating with us that something is imbalanced. There ARE tools at our disposal which can be used to help us get back to full health. You do not have to suffer in silence and carry on with your daily routine in pain.

Hello everyone, I am Darren Hall, a Systematic Kinesiologist based in Falmouth, Cornwall. If you have found my website, congratulations. Even just browsing is a sign that you are ready to take steps to make your health and wellness a priority. I have not always been in the holistic / wellness profession, I began studying Kinesiology 3 years ago. I actually used to work in IT infrastructure for a large investment bank in London. Whilst this had some benefits (e.g. salary), it did not provide the job satisfaction and happiness that I wanted and I often found that my mental health was impacted. Understanding the need for change, I sought out a new career profession and made the permanent move down to Falmouth, Cornwall to be closer to the sea and nature in general. Replacing smog for fresh air and pints in the City for decaf coffees on the beach.

One thing which always stands out to me is HOW many people are actually suffering. Whether with some sort of mental health issues (anxiety or depression to name a couple), or a physical issue which they just cannot get to the bottom of. There are so many of us who have gone to the GP with a problem and have left feeling more confused than when we went. Maybe we were put on a long waiting list to see a specialist a few months from now. Or we were given medication to help mask the symptoms of pain being experienced but not actually cure them. I have first-hand experience in this and I can honestly say that Systematic Kinesiology is a holistic and wellness technique which can help you to restore the balance that your body is seeking.

So about me: I had a long-standing gut issue and was taking prescribed medication for it, for a long time. The subscribed medication had undesirable side effects on other areas of my body, so I was forced to look into alternative health modalities. This is when I found Systematic Kinesiology, and after a few sessions, I was cured and have never had to look back or take a pill again, this was 6 years ago.  The body WANTS to be healthy, it wants to be in balance. A Systematic Kinesiologist can help to read the symptoms that your body is showing you, through muscle testing, to define the root cause of issues and perform fixes, endeavouring to restore the body back to homeostasis.

I truly believe (as do many Systematic Kinesiologists)  that optimum health requires a holistic approach. SK focuses on 4 key areas/realms when considering health:

  • Mental:

    • Emotions

    • Feelings

    • Stress

    • Trauma

  • Chemical:

    • Air pollution

    • Drugs

    • Food

    • Medication

  • Physical:

    • Bones

    • Exercise

    • Sleep

    • Posture

    • Muscles

  • Energetical:

    • Chakras

    • Meridians

    • Chi

Considering the above list, there are a number of elements which contribute to optimum health which are overlooked by mainstream society. In fact, I think mainstream society would think that it's bonkers to suggest that emotions or the chakras can have a significant effect on health. However, my personal experiences and studying Systematic Kinesiology have led me to believe wholeheartedly that this is true.

If a person is experiencing physical symptoms such as a bad back, sprained ankle, upset stomach, bad headaches etc., Kinesiologists will not only look at the specific area causing discomfort but the whole person. We believe that there could be an imbalance elsewhere, causing the symptoms being experienced. This includes looking at any negative emotions that an individual may be feeling or holding on to. Think about it, how can a person be healthy and happy if every day they are experiencing feelings of hatred, anger, sadness or worry? Sometimes, we are not even aware of how negative we are feeling. Negative emotions can cause blockages in the body, especially within our energy centres ‘the chakras’. It is undeniable that we are ALL energy and that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If this is getting blocked from flowing it can result in physical and mental dis-ease.

Our body is one organism and everything is intertwined, our organs, bones, blood, muscles and cells all work together as ONE. So it makes sense that if our health is impacted, it is likely to be due to a combination of everything.

I can understand scepticism, I was probably sceptic myself in my teens and twenties. However, if you are struggling and need help and have not managed to find the answer in a general way, why not try and come to a Systematic Kinesiology session? I would love to hear from you and would love to help you. Please browse some of my testimonials; anything is possible. Until then stay safe and healthy, love.
